Mendip Media supports Bristol-based primate charity, Ape Action Africa.
In 2008, Managing Director, Nicky Robertson spent time filming a hard hitting documentary called Going Ape for the Discovery Channel about the bushmeat trade in Cameroon, and found out how Ape Action Africa rescues orphaned primates and looks after them at its conservation project in Mefou Forest.
Initially, she persuaded the producers to give her footage to make a short video on behalf of Ape Action Africa with commentary by Charlotte Uhlenbroek. This led to ongoing pro bono video work and marketing services for the project.
