At yesterday’s WWDC 2010 Keynote, Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the long-awaited iPhone 4.0 and accompanying iOS 4.0, which will also be available for owners of 3G and 3GS iPhones.
I’ve no doubt that this is a topic about which we will be waxing lyrical in the weeks and months to come, but here’s a run-down of the new features:
iPhone 4.0
- Face-to-face video conferencing, with a camera on the front
- Slimline
- 960 x 640 super-sharp ‘retina’ display
- HD video recording
iOS 4.0
- Multitasking – a key reason why HTC and Blackberry have stolen ground in the past
- Folders for organising apps
- A universe inbox for email
- The new GUI iBooks for browsing and reading ebooks
