A tsunami in Indonesia, thousands killed in Mexican drugs war, floods in Pakistan and several major conflicts around the world – these are the things that bring despair and mayhem to most countries BUT not in the UK …
… oh no, in the UK it takes something far more serious, yep, Take That’s ticket sales have bought the country to a halt.
I’m not joking, I’ve just received this communique from our telecoms provider: “we have been advised of a major national outage, affecting outgoing calls to NGNS and mobile numbers. We have been advised that this is due to network congestion in response to the release of the Take That tickets. Our carrier is working on this issue as a top priority to restore service ASAP.”
No wonder we are where we are … the mind boggles …
Oh well, at least BT advises, “we will keep you informed of all progress with regards to this outage.” Presumably, service will be resumed as normal once the credit crunched UK public have flexed their overworked credit cards and the tickets have sold out.
