Imperial College Healthcare wanted a video to promote staff welfare provision throughout its healthcare estate.
Responsible for 3 of London’s biggest hospitals with over 10,000 employees, the NHS Trust needed to make staff aware of the wellbeing services on offer to help improve health and morale amongst the workforce.
Mendip Media created a video concept that explored 4 real-life casestudies of employees across the range of healthcare provision, from a porter to an ICU doctor.
The idea was to reflect the benefits that using the gym, practising yoga and taking part in organised walks had brought to the participants.
The video shows testimonials from real people to demonstrate that wellbeing activities relieve stress and have a positive effect on health.
The video was seeded into Imperial College Healthcare’s social media platforms as part of a more general campaign to promote wellbeing services.
In its first week, the video had over 25,000 views; activity on Twitter relating to the video showed that Imperial College staff were sharing and commenting. This activity alone was demonstrably greater than previous copy-based wellbeing promotions.
The success of the film led to a monthly ongoing contract.
