We love this brilliant piece of viral marketing by Lionsgate Entertainment, the creators of the new movie The Last Exorcism.
Using some genuine footage (not from the film itself) and CGI, a character from the film has been ‘meeting’ random people on ChatRoulette, which itself has received a great deal of publicity – not by any means all positive.
But because the ChatRoulette website allows two-way access to built-in web cams, some of the reactions that people have had to the Last Exorcism footage have been captured and collated to distribute the same piece of video further still.
It’s simple, cost-effective and spreading like wildfire.
