We’ve just come back from filming in the Lakes – to be absolutely accurate we’ve been staying outside Kendal on the borders of the National Park.
Since 2008, we’ve been building a team from Mendip Media and Lakeland to produce product demos for the Lakeland website, and each time we return the production ethos just gets better.
Presenters, Lisa and Wendy, are a pleasure to work with; they’ve improved dramatically over the year and half we’ve been filming. The props team work doggedly behind the scenes to prepare food and products to make the whole thing work.
Our film crew is pretty dedicated. Film days are normally a full 12 hours on set, but the upside is that we stay in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. And after a day in the kitchen nothing tastes better than a pint of Bluebird Bitter.
We’ve survived the floods that devastated Workington and burst the banks of the River Kent in Kendal, we’ve seen snow on the Cumbrian mountains but come April all is forgotten as the Lakes come into their own, the lambs frollick in the fells and the whole scene is a picture postcard!
