Third party app HootSuite’s new interface was launched last week – mainly visual rather than functional changes, so somewhat unremarkable. But today, we spotted that when you log in to the website (as with so many browser apps like this, you are auto-logged-out after a certain duration), you’re asked to choose between old- and new-style RT.
By that, I mean seeing the message appear in the message field prior to posting, so that you can edit it (old-style) and bypassing the opportunity to edit (new-style).
We wrote about Twitter’s RT filtering last month. HootSuite’s decision is a refreshing victory for common sense.
