Can’t stress it enough; investment pays.
It’s hard sometimes, as you fork out another eye watering payment for equipment, to keep believing that the new kit will improve productivity and in the long run pay dividends. But it does.
And in my book the best investment is in people. If you invest not just money but time in those you work with, there’s a net benefit for the business.
In fact, I’d go so far as to say it’s what business is about – building a team that will reward with enhanced creativity and profit.
It also makes the place you spend most of your time a nicer environment.
So when the edit crew ask for another hard drive or some training, and you look into the piggy bank and think it’s either that or a pay rise, say ‘yes’ to investing in the future.
