More than 350,000 people a month are searching for proof that Michael Jackson is alive or dead.
And amateur film-makers have taken it upon themselves to spoof sightings and footage – some of these videos have become viral thanks to the ‘share-ability’ of video within the social web and the emphasis that Google places on video since buying YouTube.
Some involve a black wig, a white silk shirt and not a lot else, others are more creative.
