The size of the project and the opportunity for the South West shouldn’t be underestimated.
Not only could it bring thousands of jobs both directly and indirectly, it will give Somerset a real boost in international standing as the power station proposed will be one of only a handful of new generation nuclear facilities that will become a bench mark for the rest of the world.
And it won’t just be confined to the west of Somerset; the knock on effects for the whole area will be massive.
It’s been a real learning curve and hugely interesting to get the beginnings of a story that could run and run.
