I don’t think many people realise that based on search queries, YouTube is the second busiest search engine, behind Google. So video is obviously what people want. From watching the football highlights to learning how to lay a cement base for a Victorian tiled path project (I’ll get that done soon) it’s made life so much easier. When I search on Youtube, more often than not I get at least a couple of videos that are useful.
Spot on observation … if you’re producing lots of online video get a decent hosting platform – it’ll help with metrics, branding and competition.
