One of the things we often do is to storyboard scripts for films and videos before filming them and sometimes even prior to pitching for work.
So long as the brief is tight, this enables us to visualise what the film will entail and helps everyone with the creative process of creating film. After all, while you might walk into a garden centre and buy a shed at first sight, you wouldn’t expect an architect to build a house without drawing it first.
Storyboarding is particularly useful for longer film clips, TV adverts and documentary-style videos.
It’s also possible to animate storyboards and add voiceover to demonstrate pretty much what the film could look like and how long it will be. This may seem like a large investment in time before the camera starts rolling, but it’s much easier to change the storyboard than it is to reshoot a section of film.
Our directors are skilled in storyboarding for corporate films, so please get in touch if you’d like to talk about how we can help with the creative process before filming begins: www.mendipmedia.co.uk
