TED: Julian Assange: Why the world needs WikiLeaks

Viewed 13 times

Another interesting lecture from TED.

Julian Assange is the founder of WikiLeads, which collects and posts highly classified documents and video – in the last few years it has released more legitimate, classified information than the rest of the world’s media put together.

The site is entirely user-generated, and here Assange, who apparently is being sought by the US Government, explains why it’s important.

The film includes graphic footage of a US airstrike on Baghdad in which 11 people were killed, including 2 Reuters journalists.
