An incredible milestone to capture at Hinkley Point C for Marr Contracting and BYLOR Joint Venture.

This project showcased the successful installation of the final roof truss within the Unit 2 Turbine Hall using the impressive M2480D — a solution that is transforming how large-scale lifting operations can be delivered on complex infrastructure projects.

What made this especially interesting to document was not just the scale of the lift itself, but the innovation behind the engineering approach. A single crane operating from a fixed position inside the building, reducing congestion, improving productivity, and simplifying what would traditionally require multiple cranes and far more logistical complexity.
